SEATS is calling on the incoming Victorian Government to activate the joint roll out of improved mobile telephony and digital data transfer connectivity in south eastern Australia under the Australian Government’s Regional Roads Australia Mobile Program (RRAMP)

Specifically SEATS asks that the Victorian Government facilitate the essential rollout of the Regional Roads Australia Mobile Program on the Princes Highway and Monaro Highway in south east Australia by 2030 to improve digital data transfer.

SEATS has resolved to strongly requests the Australian government ensure that by 2028 all national and state highways achieve a 95% mobile telephony reception coverage and that the rollout commence on the Monaro Highway and the Princes Highway between Melbourne and Sydney:

• On Princes Highway between Bairnsdale and Ulladulla
• On Monaro Hwy between Cann River and Queanbeyan

Funding has been made available by the Australian Government to both the Victorian and NSW Governments to continue with the rollout of a Federally Funded Regional Roads Australia Mobile Program delivering outcomes in this regard.
