Cr Bob Kirk

Bob Kirk was re-elected to Goulburn Mulwaree Council in 2024, marking his fifth term as a Councillor. First elected in 2008, he served eight years as Deputy Mayor before becoming Mayor in 2016, a position he held until 2021. 

Bob is deeply involved in the community and is currently the Chairman of the West Goulburn Bushland Group; the Southern Tablelands Community Foundation, and the Country Universities Centre Goulburn. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a Life Member of Goulburn District Rugby League and is also on the Goulburn Rail Trail committee. Bob is committed to prioritising the liveability of the Goulburn Mulwaree region through effective management and governance, focusing on financial sustainability and meeting community expectations.

Born and raised in Goulburn, Bob joined the Commonwealth Bank in 1966, working in nine regional centres before returning to Goulburn as Senior Manager in 1991. He left the bank in 1998 to pursue various local management roles, retiring as Secretary Manager of the Goulburn Golf Club in 2011. Married to Christel since 1973, he has two daughters and seven grandchildren.
