The SEATS Membership Quarterly Meeting was held recently on Phillip Island Bass Coast. Hosted by Cr. Brett Tessari Mayor and his team, they welcomed SEATS Chair Cr. Marianne Pelz, Deputy Chair Cr. Marianne Saliba and fellow SEATS members comprising Councillors, Economic Officers and Engineers from over 10 locally affected governments. Discussed was the damage to vital transport infrastructure and the closure of freight routes during the fire emergency. With over 2000km of burnt out roads, over one hundred destroyed bridges and the combined economic loss endured, SEATS will be actively advocating to government for rapid response in funding to help the recovery.
